Merete Gudrun Pottery

Made by hand,
meant to be used.

Handmade pottery for the small rituals of everyday life.

Each piece is made by hand, one at a time.

Useful forms, quiet irregularities, and glazes that make every piece its own.

Pieces are available at the local greenhouse shop, selected local stores, and seasonal markets—places where you can hold them, compare them, and choose the one that feels right.

A favorite form

Irregular
by nature.

The softly uneven edge is part of the piece—not something to correct. It holds the marks of making and gives every plate and bowl a distinct presence.

The studio

Made slowly,
with room for surprise.

I work in small batches, letting form, touch, and glaze lead the way. The finished pieces are intended for daily life: morning coffee, shared meals, flowers from the garden, soap by the sink.

Every piece is made by hand—either wheel-thrown or slab-built—and no two are exactly alike. My Danish roots show up quietly in the work: restrained ornament, with more attention to glaze, color, shape, and the way a piece feels in use.
